The
housing provides a tamper-resistant means
of concealing a video camera on either a ceiling, wall, or
pole and is intended for use in high-risk areas where
surveillance equipment is vulnerable to physical damage
or criminal violence. The housing is designed for small
solid-state cameras with fixed-focal-length lenses.
The housing is constructed entirely of welded lo-gauge
steel and is protected by cast-iron-gray vinyl paint. It is
virtually impenetrable and completely closed and sealed
against moisture. A thermostatically-controlled heater and

A hinged bottom section (the
cover) is provided with a specially-keyed double-acting
lock for an uncomplicated but secure locking system.
The housing may be mounted directly to a solid ceiling,
or it may be mounted to a wall or pole using the
Mounting Adapter. The housing is designed with an
axially adjustable camera platform so that the camera
can be adjusted easily and the lens focused from below
the ceiling.
Provision is made for routing electrical connections,
including AC power lines and video cables, into the
housing. There are two holes in the top of the housing
for this purpose. Since the cables pass directly into the
