Serial Commands
If you have connected your video loss detector to a host computer, you may communicate with the video loss
detector by sending serial commands to the detector from the host computer keyboard. Messages will display
on the host computer monitor to verify that the command was sent. The following commands are available:
Note: Disable the video loss detector password by changing it to “0000000000” (10 zeroes) before using the
host computer serial commands.
You may use HyperTerminal, which comes standard with Windows™ 95, for serial communications.

You must use XMODEM protocol for Upload, Download, Report Alarms, and Report Alarm Summary.
Caution: The video loss detector is in inactive mode (no detection) during upload and download transfers.

Requests system verification from the
detector. The detector responds by sending
