FAULT LED

A fault LED is located on the VR9500 front panel. The following table describes
the fault LED indications:

LED Color

Description

Off

No faults.

Red solid

Fault detected.

Red flashing

Fault detected.

If the fault light is continuously on while the status light is continuously off, turn
the power off and back on to reset the unit. If the fault light remains on after
cycling the power, the unit may require service. Contact Vibration Research for
assistance.

CHANNEL LED

On the VR9500 front panel, there is a channel LED around each of the four input
channels. The following table describes the channel LED indications. The
channel LED provide connection status of integrated electronics piezo electric
(IEPE) accelerometers such as those sold under the

 Integrated Circuit

Piezoelectric

 (ICP) and

IsoTron

trade names.

LED Color

Description

Off

IEPE is turned off.

Green solid

IEPE is enabled and the accelerometer is connected.

Red solid

IEPE is enabled and the input is fault, shorted, or open.

Amber solid

IEPE is enabled and the input bias voltage is marginal.

SPECIAL MODES

When the Identify button is pressed in VibrationVIEW, the status light on the
selected unit will blink between red and green 10 times. This is useful for
determining which channels are configured to which box in a multiple controller
setup. When the power-on-self-test detects a problem with the unit, the fault
light will turn on and the status light will blink an error code. If this happens, the
unit may require service. Contact Vibration Research for assistance.
