Maintenance

An annual calibration verification is recommended for continued accuracy of the
VR10500. Before calibration, debris should be blown out of the ventilation slots
and fan. Verify the fan's operation and make sure ventilation is maintained as
defined in

Installation

.

Cleaning

 CAUTION

: Remove power from the VR10500 prior to cleaning near the

ventilation slots.

Functionality of the fan should be checked monthly. Clean the fan as needed in
a high dirt and dust environment. Clean enclosures with one of the following:

·

A soft, dry cloth

·

A soft cloth moistened with water

·

A soft cloth moistened with a solution of water and a gentle, non-scratch
household cleaner that does not contain ammonia

Servicing

HIGH VOLTAGE WARNING

 CAUTION

: Dangerous voltages are present within the power supply.

Disconnect power supply before servicing.

 CAUTION

: Never use a fuse with a higher current rating, lower voltage rating,

or slower time delay than the specified fuse. Replace the fuse with same type
and rating as fitted.

·

All servicing, repairing, and testing of these products must be carried out by
competent personnel who are conversant with the particular hazards of AC line
operated equipment and the dangers of switch mode power supplies.

·

After disconnecting the AC source, wait 5 minutes before touching the unit to
allow the unit's capacitors to discharge.

·

Heatsinks within this product may be live. Test before touching.

·

The device must be reliably earthed and professionally installed in accordance
with the prevailing electrical wiring regulations and safety standards.

·

The internal power supply uses two 3.15A 250V FUSES (F1, F2); both the line
and neutral are fused. These fuses are only accessible to qualified service
personnel.

·

The VR10500 is protected by fuses between the power cord and power switch.
The power cord must be removed to replace the fuses. Replace the main
fuses with the same type (usually a Bel Fuse 5ST 2.5-R) to maintain
protection against overheating, hardware damage, and possible fire.
