Pocket Jump is designed for 4, 6, or 8 cylinder gas powered cars, light trucks, SUVs, and
hybrids that use a 12 volt electrical system. Pocket Jump WILL NOT provide ample energy
to bring a defective battery back up to a usable level. The testing procedure (outlined in
Step 1 in this manual) is designed to tell you if your vehicle's battery will or can accept the
charge before you begin the process. If the power indicator LED does not light up, your
Pocket Jump will not work to charge your battery and your vehicle needs professional
servicing and/or possible battery replacement.
Problem
The voltage indicator LED
does not illuminate when
plugged into the cigarette
lighter socket.
The vehicle will not start after
battery is charged for the full
20 minutes.
Possible Cause
The cigarette lighter adapter is not fully inserted into the
cigarette lighter socket of the operating vehicle.
Vehicle battery or vehicle wiring may be damaged. Seek
professional help.
Cigarette lighter socket is not properly connected to the
vehicle or the socket's fuse needs to be replaced.
The battery in this vehicle is fully discharged or shorted
internally and must be replaced.
There is not sufficient electric power in the battery to start
the engine.
Troubleshooting
Storing
Disconnect all cords from the Pocket Jump to store. You can store your Pocket Jump
in your glove box, console, or trunk. We recommend you do not store the Pocket Jump
plugged in. Store in temperatures of -10°F to +110°F. If temperatures in the vehicle
exceed this, we recommend removing the Pocket Jump.
