ACPI Suspend Type
Set the power saving mode for ACPI function. Settings are:
S1/POS -
S1/Power On Suspend (POS) is a low power state. In this state, no
system context (CPU or chipset) is lost and hardware maintains all system context.
S3/STR -
S3/Suspend To RAM (STR) is a power-down state. In this state, power
is supplied only to essential components such as main memory and wakeup-capable
devices. The system context is saved to main memory, and context is restored from
the memory when a “wakeup” event occurs.
S1 & S3
- Depends on OS to select S1 or S3.
PM Control by APM
Set if you want the power management function to be controlled by APM.

Video Off Option
Select whether or not to turn off the screen when system enters power
saving mode, ACPI OS such as Windows XP will override this option.
Settings are:
Always On
- The screen is always on even when system enters power
saving mode.
Suspend -> Off
- The screen is turned off when system enters power
saving mode.
Power Off by PWRBTN
This field configures the power button function. Settings are:
Delay 4 Sec -
The system is turned off if power button is pressed for more
than four seconds.
Instant-Off -
The power button functions as a normal power-on/-off
button.
AC Loss Auto Restart
If there happens to be AC power loss when your system is running, this
item allows you to choose the power state when the AC power is back.
The <Off> option keeps system in Off state until you press the power
button. Settings:
Disable
and
Enable.
