After removing the rear cover, release the brush

clips connected to the magnetic fields.

−

Remove the brush plate. Detach the old brushes

and weld a new set of brushes, hence replace the

brush plate.

After removing the rear cover, detach the drive

gear retaining pin and remove the gear.

Refit the assembly components in the reverse

order.

Removing the flywheel magneto

−

Retain the flywheel using the special tool, hence

remove the lock nut.
