Where a
colourfan
unit has been supplied with fitted controls, a cable gland or entry plate is
provided for ease of installation.
Where a membrane gland plate has been supplied, carefully pierce the desired entry point in
the plate with a small screw driver or similar Fig
20
. Note: when piercing the gland plate take
care not to damage the contents of the control panel. Feed the cable through the gland plate,
connect and provide appropriate cable restraint (wiring diagrams
page 8 - 12
).
A new entry point should be used for each additional cable entry.

This membrane gland plate is not suitable for use with traditional cable/armoured cable glands.
Should the installation require the use of such glands please make alternative provisions for the
cable entry to suit.

Where a cable entry plate has been supplied, carefully drill into the plate using an appropiatly
sized holesaw. Suitable cable glands should always be installed. Feed the cable through the cable
glands, connect and provide appropiate cable restraint (

When drilling take extra care to not damage any control panel components. Always use a
drillstop and remove any swarf afterwards.
