8. Unit Configuration
8.1 Digital Input Configuration
Each digital input can be configured either for a voltage or contact closure input. Refer to the table
below.

: Digital input configuration should only be performed by a qualified technician. Contact Technical
Support for details.

Seven jumpers for digital input and one jumper for RS-485 are supplied with the UXIMe for configuration.
There is a pair of 2-pin jumpers associated with each digital input, which must be set according to the
mode desired. The cover of the unit must be removed to gain access to these jumpers. Jumpers should
only be changed by a certified Vertiv technician. Refer to the following table and drawing to identify what
mode is required and where the jumpers are located.
