5.2 Tank Drain
Occasionally, it may be desirable to drain the storage tanks. There is a
drain plug on the back of the cooler. See Figure 3. First, make sure both
power switches (cold and hot) are off. Leave the cooler plugged in. The cooler
must be moved so that the water can be drained into a container to collect the
water (about 3 1/2 gal). Remove the white drain plug from the rear of the
cooler. This will drain the auxiliary tank, chilling chamber, hot tank, and storage
tank (“R” only). To remove the water in the stainless steel tubing in the storage
tank, disconnect the tubing from the outlet of the post-filter if “R”, from carbon
filter if “F”, and from bulkhead if “no filtration,” located in the filter cabinet. Press
the cold dispense button on the control panel and drain the water into a bucket.
