Any damaged parts must be replaced by contacting your dealer or telephoning Vermont 

Castings on the number stated on the rear cover of this book.  Coals must only be 

replaced with a complete and genuine replacement set and the stove must never be run 

with the wrong number or damaged coals. 

The fuelbed must be carefully reassembled as stated in the following section. 

 

Cleaning the glass 

 

Leave the stove to cool completely. Only warm water should be used to clean the glass. 

Never use harsh chemicals or abrasives to clean the glass. 

For any stubborn deposits 

contact your local dealer for a suitable cleaning agent. 

 

Cleaning the griddle on the top of the stove (only applicable to Intrepid 2 models). 

 

Leave the stove to cool completely. Due to the griddle been a natural finish, slight 

discoloration may occur due to the heat of the appliance. We recommend the use of wire 

wool to discard of any rust or deposits. To remove the griddle, open the doors and loosen 

the two screws inside the stove at each side of the griddle. Reassemble in reverse order.
