CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
CAUTION
Always use gloves when handling broken
glass.

ARNING
Make sure the glass panel edges do not
touch any metal parts during thermal
expansion.
REPLACING GLASS
1. Put on gloves.
2.
Y
ou must first remove the barrier before removing the
door.
Remove door from stove.
3. Lift up on cast front. Pivot bottom of front out and
remove.
4. Remove glass from stove by releasing two clamps on
bottom of stove. Lift glass frame up and off the unit.

5. Carefully remove broken glass.
6. Wrap new glass pane with tadpole gasket. Make sure
you have 1/4" overlap on each side.
7. Place new glass in frame.
8. Slide glass frame back down onto stove and fasten
two clamps.

9. Insert front into the top of the stove, and push forward
onto the legs.
10. Replace safety barrier.
NOTE: Use only original Vermont Castings Group
replacement parts.
