40-6 Preparation

S650TX Mini Skid Steer

Striking a Utility

Electricity

Some circuit breakers automatically reset. Do not assume power has been permanently disconnected until you 
confirm that the utility company has locked out power to that line.

Gas

Fiber Optic

DANGER: 

 Electric shock can kill.

If strike occurs, stay on machine. Contacting the machine and ground while stepping off may 
result in injury or death. Raise auger or trencher to try breaking contact with electric power 
line. Have someone who is clear of the area contact the utility company to shut off electrical 
power. Do not continue work until utility company has declared the area safe to resume 
operation. Do not allow anyone to approach the machine.

DANGER: 

If you strike a gas line, shut off engine and evacuate area immediately. Contact 

utility company and do not return until the utility company gives permission to do so.

WARNING: 

Laser light may damage eyes. Do not look into the end. Fiber optic cables carry 

laser light which may damage your eyes. If you are not sure what type of cable it is, do not
