Installing the replacement cooling module
Use the following steps to install the replacement cooling module.
To install the replacement cooling module
Caution:
Handle the replacement cooling module carefully to avoid damaging the connector pins.
Do not install a fan module if any pins appear to be bent.

Put on a grounded ESD-compliant wrist strap or take other ESD-preventive measures.

Remove the replacement cooling module from its packaging.

Orient the replacement cooling module so that the black and orange release latch is on the right
side of the module.

Slide the replacement cooling module completely into the storage shelf.
A click should be heard as the retaining latch engages.

Monitor the cooling module LEDs for any faults.
Verify that the LED on the replacement module is green and that the cooling module is moving
air.

If the LED is not green, or if the cooling module is not moving air, contact Veritas Technical
Support.
