Attaching

1. Drive the tractor slowly forward into the hitch arms on the snow blower. Align the lift arms of the

tractor with the snow blower hitch arms by raising or lowering the front hitch and complete the
engagement.

2. Once completely engaged, close the front hitch locking lever.*

3. Engage the parking brake* and shut off engine.

4. Place the attachment belt over the outside groove of the PTO drive pulley on the tractor. Ensure

the belt is properly seated in each pulley.

5. Engage the PTO spring tension lever.*

6. Wipe the quick couplers clean, and connect to the tractor.

If equipped, connect the hoses and quick

couplers so the red indicators are paired together and the yellow indicators are paired together.

7. Connect the electric plug. (If equipped)

8. Engage the weight transfer system*. (If equipped)

De taching

1. Park the trac tor on a level sur face and set the park ing brake.*

2. Lower the snow blower to the ground.

3. Shut off trac tor en gine.

4. Dis en gage the PTO spring ten sion le ver.*

5. Re move the at tach ment belt from the PTO drive pul ley of the trac tor.

6. Dis con nect the hy drau lic quick cou plers from the trac tor. Do not al low hoses and cou plers to lay in

the dirt and snow.

7. Dis con nect the elec tric plug. (If equipped)

8. Dis en gage the hitch lock ing le ver.*

9. Re start trac tor and slowly back away from the snow blower.

* Re fer to trac tor man ual for op er a tion of con trols.

Op er at ing  Tech niques  &  Tips

Always shift the tractor transaxle to low range when operating the snow blower.

Always direct the discharge chute toward open areas. Whenever possible, blow snow with the wind
direction and not against it. Rotate the chute to the desired direction using the auxiliary control. Adjust
the discharge deflector to the desired angle. Refer to chute adjustment on page D-2.

Lower the snow blower to the ground and place the S.D.L.A. lever in the float position by moving it
outward to the second position until the detent engages. The lever will stay in this position after
engagment. For proper skid shoe height adjustment, refer to page D-2.

With the tractor running at approximately 2000-2500 RPM, engage the PTO. Drive forward slowly,
keeping a close watch for potential hazards. Adjust the discharge chute rotation as necessary to keep
the discharged snow directed to open areas.
