1. Introduction
The OV 725 Digital Disperser, equipped with an electronic speed control system, a brushless motor and an advanced safety
system, it is the ideal solution for dispersing, homogenizing, mixing and crushing samples of biological materials (cells,
animal and plant tissues), pharmaceutical, cosmetic and food products.
The term dispersion means the subdivision and distribution of a solid or fluid in a liquid phase that is not completely miscible
with the other phase.
The dispersing tool is mainly composed of the rotor and the stator. The high number of revolutions of the rotor allows the
tool to axially sucks the sample into the dispersion head and then push it radially through the slots between the rotor and the
stator. Normally, the processing time is a few minutes to obtain the desired fineness, longer processing times only slightly
improve the fineness of the sample but significantly increase its temperature.
