To unlock the unit, press the
key and the
key successively. You will hear a beep meaning the unit is unlocked.
•
To lock the unit, press the
key and the
key successively. You will hear a double beep meaning the unit is
locked. You can lock all the keys except the PTT key.
b. How to Talk with Your Friend
•
Switch the unit on (see

•
Set both units to the same channel and sub code:
o
First, select the channel. In the main screen, press the
key.
o
"CH" will appear. Press the
key.
o
"PMR X" will appear. Press the
or
key to select the channel (1-8).
o
Next, press the
key to confirm and to return to the main screen.
o
Now, select the code. In the main screen, press the
key.
o
"CODE" will appear. Press the
key.
o
"CODE X" will appear. Press the
or
key to select the sub code (1-38).
o
Press the
key to confirm and to return to the main menu.
•
Press the "CALL" or "PTT" button to connect with the other unit.
o
Press the "CALL" button once to make a call ring tone. "CALL" will appear on the display meaning you’re in
transmitting mode.
o
Press the "PTT" button as long as you would like to talk. If the unit is in transmitting status, "T" will appear on
the display.
•
Release the "CALL" or "PTT" button and wait for the signal from the other unit. "R" will be displayed meaning the unit is
in receiving mode.
5. Setting the Functions
a. Setting the Channel
•
In the main screen, press the
key. "CH" will appear.
•
Press the
key. "PMR X" will appear.
•
Press the

key to select the channel (1-8).
•
Next, press the
key to confirm and to return to the main screen.
b. Changing the Sub Codes
•
In the main screen, press the
key.
•
"CODE" will appear. Press the
key.
•
"CODE X" will appear. Press the
or
key to select the sub code (1-38).
•
Press the
key to confirm and to return to the main menu.
NOTE:
"CODE 00" means there are no sub codes.
c. Adjusting the Volume
•
In the main screen, press the
key to change the volume. A volume symbol will appear.
•
Press the
or
key to increase or decrease the volume.
•
Press the
key to confirm and to return to the main screen.
d. Changing the Squelch Control
•
In the main screen, press the
or
key.
•
"SQ" will appear. Press the
key.
•
Press the
or
key to increase or decrease the SQ level. A higher SQ will have longer communication range.
However, communication will be more prone to interference. A lower SQ will have shorter communication range but
the interference will be less present.
•
Press the
key to confirm and to return to the main screen.
