ASSEMBLING THE HOUSE
1) Preparation of the back panel:
- Glue the sticker between both input terminals, as in Fig. 5.0.
- The covered holes are now cut out using a fine knife.
NOTE: If the amplifier is to be used in a bridge configuration, only the holes
for one pair of speakers should be cut out.
- Mount the mains connector together with two 10mm flush M3 bolts and nuts
to the back panel.
- Mount two fuse holders in the corresponding holes.
- Mount a black terminal for the - speaker connection and a red terminal for
the + connection.
NOTE: When using the bridge configuration only one pair of terminals
should be mounted.
2) Preparation of the front panel:
- Mount a 10mm M3 bolt together with lock washer and nut in the 20 small,
bevelled holes. (see fig. 5.1)
a) Mounting without the K4021 power meters:
- Mount a 3mm LED as ON/OFF indicator in the hole above the large
rectangular hole for the switch. Glue the LED on the inside using a little
glue. Make sure the LED does not protrude out of the front side.
Shorten the LED connections to a few mm. Make sure that a long (+) and a
short (-) connection is once again obtained, to indicate the polarity.
- Solder two thin wires of ± 30cm to the LED connections. Once the front
panel is mounted these may be connected to the points LD+ and LD- of the
RIGHT HAND SIDE amplifier print (see Fig. 6.0).
b) When using the K4021 power meters:
- See mounting instructions for the power meters. The connections may be
made once the front panel is connected to the heat sinks.
3) Assembling the house
- Provide the ends of the heat sink with screw thread using the supplied
25mm long galvanized cross head bolt (see Fig. 7.0). This screw thread is
used for mounting the front and back panel.
- Mount a rubber foot together with a 12mm m4 bolt and nut on the four
corners of the bottom plate. Do not tighten the bolts yet. (see fig. 7.1)
- Mount a 8mm m4 bolt and nut in the same way in the holes between the
feet.
- Slide the heat sinks over the bolts and secure them after positioning (Fig.
7.1).
- Mount the front panel on the heat sinks using four flush m4 bolts. Tighten
these bolts carefully, because they will no longer be accessible once the film
