6. Installation
Refer to the illustrations on page 2 of this manual.
•
Choose the location for the camera, keeping following guidelines in mind:
o
do not install the camera in locations where extremely high or low temperatures or excessive
vibrations may occur.
o
avoid mounting the camera near high electro-magnetic fields.
o
do not aim the camera at the sun or other extremely bright objects or reflections (e.g. metal doors).
o
The connection cables run at the inside of the mounting bracket, and leave at the backside

(default). They can be re-guided to leave via the top
[4]
or bottom
[5]
of the mounting bracket.
•
When the connection cables need to go through the wall, a hole of at least Ø20mm (max. Ø35mm)
must be foreseen at the mounting location.
•
Guide the cables though the cable hole when applicable. Mount the mounting bracket on the wall using
4 screws (included). Note that the camera must be resting on top of the mounting bracket.
•
Release hex screws

and

(hex key included) and point the camera to the desired field of
observation. Tighten hex screw

to secure the horizontal position and hex screw
[6]
for the vertical
position.
•
Connect the video connector

to a monitor (not incl.).
•
Connect the power connector

to a 12VDC power supply (not incl.).
•
Manually adjust the zoom with screw
[F]
and the focus with screw
[G]
. These screws are located at
the back of the camera under protective caps. After adjusting, replace the protective caps.
•
The sunshield can be mounted or dismounted by sliding the sunshield towards the front of the camera.
