Caution
When carrying tripod with spike&rubber feet
or monopod with spike&rubber feet, make it
change to rubber feet. Or cover spikes by
tripod-case or leg-pochette. Exposing spikes is
dangerous and may cause accidents of death and
serious injury. In crowded area such as inside of
commuter trains, this warning is extremely important.
Ideal load is set as to tripods. Weight of
camera must be lower than "ideal load". If the
weight of camera is 2 times heavier than the
weight of tripod with panhead, its stability would be
extremely bad. This may cause tripod to fall. Falling
may cause accidents of death and serious injury. Bad
stability causes also camera shake.
When you set up tripod, do it with prudence.
Pinching finger or hand may cause injury.
Also, confirm that all locking devices and
stoppers are tightened. If tripod contracts
unexpectedly and falls, camera may be damaged.
Read operating manual beforehand and set it up
while confirming.
In case using tripod on unstable place such
as wobbling table, unleveled ground or
slanted ground, do it with prudence. In
particular, in case of high places, falling on head or
leg may cause serious injury or death. Before setting
up tripod, confirm if the places and surrounding
conditions are good.
Small children should not touch tripods or
monopods. Store those equipments in places
where small children can not reach. There is
a possibility that those equipments pinch their fingers
or hands. In that case, children may face serious
injury or even death accident. Additionally, products
with belts and straps may wind around children's
necks. So store those equipments at right places.
When operating panhead or extending/re-
tracting legs while camera is set on its
panhead, holding camera by hand is
necessary. Unexpected sudden movement of camera
and tripod may cause damage of camera or injury of
fingers by pinching on tripod. Depending on shapes of
camera and lens, maintaining balance is difficult.
Tripod is equipment for picture-shooting.
Never sit on it. These deeds may cause tripod
to fall, which may cause injury or death.
Never use monopod as cane, either. These deeds
cause contraction of monopod and may cause
unexpected accidents.
Do not leave tripod with camera on unstable
place or lean it against walls. There is a
possibility that tripod falls and is damaged.
When using tripod, open three legs fullly. If
opening is not enough, tripod may fall
unexpectedly and falling may cause injury or
damage. Also, using tripod unstably causes
camera-shake.
As tripods and monopods are composed of
metal and carbon fiber, the products electrify.
Do not use the products in the vicinity of
things that carry electricity, like high-voltage cable,
etc. Furthermore, in case of possibility of thunderbolt,
do not use the products. Stop shooting pictures in
those areas and evacuate speedily.
Do not carry tripod or monopod which is set
up with camera. If force more than
expectation occurs, there is a possibility that
camera may fall. In particular, carrying tripod or
monopod attached to camera on your shoulder is very
dangerous because you are not able to see camera.
When moving, undo camera from tripod or monopod.
Products can be used in temperature range
from zero centigrade to 40 centigrades. If
temperature exceeds 40 centigrade, oil-leak
may occur. If temperature falls below zero centigrade,
movement of panning and tilting may become heavy.
In that case, performance is not sufficient. Do not
leave equipments in very warm and humid places, in
places of the direct rays of the sun, inside of cars, etc.
Those may cause troubles.
All stoppers should be tightened all the times
except occasions necessary. If a stopper is
loosened, it may cause falling of tripod or
damage of camera. Carrying those equipments
without tightening a stopper also may cause to lose a
stopper.
In case the product has never been used for a
long time or important occasions of
picture-taking, inspection of each important
part of the product must be done beforehand. In order
to maintain high performance of the product, it is
recommendable to inspect the product periodically
like 1 or 2 years of time.
Do not use product when it is wet or sandy. If
using it in this condition, water or sand may
penetrate the part of movement and may
cause troubles. Wipe and clean it with dry cloth. In
case leg pipe is wet, wipe it fristly and dry it well.
In case of picture-taking in winter time or the
cold latitude, there is a possibility that metal
parts may be frozen. Do not handle it by bare
hands. Wearing gloves for photograph is
recommendable.
If the panhead is detachable from the body,
changing panhead is possible. Firstly, tighten
all the stoppers firmly and turn the whole
panhead anti-clockwise. The panhead comes off from
the body. When doing these processes, keep face off
the panhead. Handle of the panhead or others may hit
the face. Take good cautions when operating it.
Do not disassemble or soup up products.
Abnormal movements may cause injuries and
damages of equipments. In case of souping
up products, warranty does not apply.
Do not replenish oil, grease, etc. to the part of
tripod and panhead. Replenishment of oil,
grease, etc. may cause insufficient
performance. In case insufficient performance is
noticeable, ask the distributor.
If leaning tripod or monopod against wall at
the condition of thin posture like closing legs,
tripod or monopod may fall unexpectedly.
That is dangerous. Store tripod or monopod at the
condition of stability like letting them lie.
Levels attached to tripods, panheads and
accessories are good enough for
picture-taking. But they are not adequate for
measurement or service.

In case tripod is wet by rain, etc., wipe it with
dry cloth. Make sure that it is completely dry,
especially legs. Extend all the legs and dry
them completely. In case leg pipe is wet,
severe inspection is recommended.
Do not use any chemicals such as thinner
when cleaning.

Tripod Pedestal screw
While adapting the tripod screw to the
bottom of the lens, and rotate the
Camea-fix-dial knob half-way still
removable for sliding.
Causion Please make sure holding your camera when attaching to the SPT-1 or SPT-2.
Do not drop your camera or lens to
be damaged. And make sure the movement of the center column is smooth when attach to the bottom of the camera body.
Otherwise the lens mounting part may be broken to damage.
Adjusting both camera and lens by sliding
little by little, release the elevator stopper
and up and down the center column to
adapt the bottom of the camera body. Then
screw in by rotating the center column
firmly.
Then tighten the Camera-fix-dial
furthermore to ensure locking tripod screw
of the lens firmly. Then tighten the elevator
stopper as last to fix the center column.
In case the camera body is exceeded by the
battery grip etc with SPT-1, please use
SPT-2 to suit the necessary size.
When attaching SPT-1/ 2 to the Camea or
lens, please make sure tighten the screw or
stoppers tightly. Please also connect both
tripod screw and the camera screw
each other and tighten it firnly.
When shipped from the factory the screw
size is 1/4 UNC. But by using the screw
driver enclosed in the package, screw
adapter can be changed to 3/8 UNC.
With regard to SPT-2, please connect the
lower column to the end of the center
column first of all. In case there is rib at the
end of the center column please remove it
and adapt lower column as extension. And
make use of the rib to the bottom of the
lower column.

Even though SPT-2, in case the exceeded
length from the below of the tripod
pedestal becomes more than 36mm, it is
not possible to adapt. Or in case the
Camera body is too thick more than
50mm of the distance between the tripod
screw socket of the camera body and the
front of the camera body, it is also
impossible to adapt SPT-2.
Choose the right screw from the choices of 3 for meeting the balance point on
the Plate. Before starting to use, please make sure if every parts are stopped
well and locked well.
