5.5.2 Module Software Upgrade Procedure
1. Obtain the required upgrade files
Download them from www.veexinc.com, www.v-express.com, a link provided or by using the built-in VeExpress client
Unzip the files and copy to the root of a FAT32 USB memory stick if necessary
2. Insert the memory stick to the USB port located on the left-side of the unit
3. Initiate Software Upgrade process
Open the Utilities section Go to >Utilities >M.Upgrade
Select new version and press Upgrade
The test set turns itself OFF at the end
4. The test applications are up-to-date.
Notes:
The built-in VeExpress client downloads the uncompressed MTTplus-xxxx.tar.gz upgrade packages directly to the root of the
memory stick attached to the test set, so the M.Upgrade process can be started right away
The process may need to be repeated if two different blade types are loaded.
5.5.3 MTT Carrier Software Upgrade Procedure
Download and unzip the file from the link you received via email, or go to www.veexinc.com using a PC Browser
Copy the tar.gz install package to the root of a FAT32 USB Memory
Insert Memory Stick into a USB port
Insert the empty MTT Carrier module
Remove any MTT module from it
Attach the DC charger to the test set and turn the test set ON
Go to >Utilities > M.Upgrade
Verify that the new version is detected
Tap on the Upgrade button
Any running test will be terminated
The test set will shut down once the update process has finished
Turn the test set ON and the RXT-2000A Carrier module is now up-to-date
5.5.4 Older MTT Modules Upgrade
The MTT Module software upgrade process is similar to the MTT Carrier process.
Connect the DC Charger
Insert the Carrier Module with the MTT module inside the slot
Insert the FAT32 USB memory stick containing the software package into one of the USB ports
Turn the MTTplus ON
Go to >Utilities >M.Upgrade
Once the upgrade image is recognized, confirm the versions and tap on the Upgrade button
The firmware update starts
It will turn itself off when finished
