Initial operation
1. Reconnect the battery.
2. Restore perfect functioning of the electrical system (clock, on-board computer, alarm
system, airbag, immobiliser, radio coding etc.).
3. Insert the batteries (not included) into the battery compartment of the remote con-
trol, see Operating Instructions.
4. Switch on the ignition.
The navigation system starts and the Start Menu appears as soon as the safety instructions
have been confirmed.
5. Select the ”Settings” function.
6. In the ”System Settings” menu, select the ”Video configuration” option.
7. Depending on the type of installation, activate the appropriate option (”Multimedia-
box connected” or, alternatively, ”TV tuner connected”).
The ”TV/Video” button should now appear in the Start Menu.
Checking the vehicle functions
A
Check the safety-relevant vehicle functions only when the car is stationary or at low
speed. Only perform check in an open area.
• Braking system
• Alarm system
• Lighting system
• Immobiliser
• Speedometer
• Trip computer
• Radio (coding) and hi-fi system
• Clock
• Airbag (indicator lamp)
