Prepaid C-IQ
You can purchase country maps for navigation and/or travel info products (e.g. hotel and
restaurant guides) at a flat rate and in advance for use on a daily basis, but without
having to specify the actual days concerned. This means that you can always have the
correct data at your fingertips for making short trips abroad or taking a weekend trip.
With the “prepaid” service the information must be activated on the calendar day on
which it is to be used. Once you have purchased your prepaid days from the C-IQ Service,
they can be activated in the navigation system in the normal manner by means of an
access code. Please ensure that the corresponding map DVD/CD has been inserted. For
more detailed information concerning this option, contact the C-IQ Service.

Under “Code input”, enter the access code which you obtained for your prepaid C-IQ
product.

Select “Prepaid C-IQ”.

Select “Prepaid Map” or “Prepaid Travel Info”, depending on which C-IQ product
you want to activate.

The status of your prepaid products will be displayed. It indicates the number of re-
maining days of use.

Select “Proceed” to access the list of products available (country maps or travel info
products).

Select the desired product from the list.
Easy Start – Activating preinstalled C-IQ products
Depending on the scope of delivery of your unit you can choose from various preinstalled
product options (region, activation period, map data, traffic info, travel info products,
etc.). For example, you can choose between activation for a limited time period inclu-
ding free C-IQ DVD/CD Update Service or unlimited usage*.

To ensure that C-IQ Easy Start functions without problems, it is imperative that the
current date is received by the navigation system via GPS. Therefore park your vehicle
outdoors.

Insert the map DVD/CD for the region you want to activate.

Select the C-IQ product for the required region.

Follow the instructions on the display.

Depending on the scope of delivery, some units provide you with the opportunity
of switching between various product options within one test period (e.g. for a
limited time period with update service or unlimited).

You can change your activation option with “Easy Start” within the test period.

* C-IQ DVD/CD Update Service free of charge to an address specified by you – registration
required under www.C-IQ.net or by telephoning the C-IQ Service Centre. The update
service is not available for the unlimited use option. Additional costs could arise with
activation for a limited time period.
