Special destinations (POIs)
You may also input the destination address by selecting special facilities (POI = Points
of Interest) stored in the database. These include e.g.:

airports,
–
hotels,
–
petrol station,
–
car repair garages
–
car parks, etc.
Depending upon the information already entered in the destination input screen, a list
of general interest facilities appears which are present on the current map CD.
Special facilities of national importance

Select “
New address
” and use the input wizard to select the required country.

Then, select the
‰
symbol in the lower line of the input menu.

A list of the categories of points of national interest is shown.

Select the required category (e.g. AIRPORT, FERRY…).

If more than four facilities are stored for the selected category, the “typewriter”
will be displayed.

For up to four stored facilities, the list will appear immediately.

Enter the name of the required facility or select the
¯
symbol for the list display.

Confirm the input using “
–
” or select an entry from the list.
Special facilities in connection with the destination

Select “
New address
” and use the input wizard to enter the required country and
the name of the required destination.

Then, select the

symbol in the lower line of the input menu.

For smaller towns, it may be that only the “
CITY CENTRE
” option is available. If you
select this option, the navigation system will guide you to the city centre.

Select the required category (e.g. HOTEL, PETROL STATION…).
