Driving and operating
A semi-automated lane change
manouevre may be interrupted if the
operating conditions are no longer
met:
● If no wheel has crossed the lane
marking, the system steers the
vehicle back in its original lane.
● If the lane change manoeuvre is
already in progress, the system
prompts the driver to take back
control of the vehicle.
In both situations, a message is
displayed, an audible signal is given
and the system is automatically
deactivated.
System limitations
The system may not function in the
following situations:
● driver wearing thick gloves
● poor visibility caused by
insufficient road lighting,
snowfall, rain, fog etc.
● dazzle (headlamps of an
oncoming vehicle, low sun,
reflections on a wet road surface,
leaving a tunnel, alternating light
and shade)
● windscreen area in front of the
camera damaged or covered by
dirt, stickers or other foreign
objects
● lane markings eroded, partially
hidden (snow, mud) or multiple
(roadworks, surface joints)
● in a tight curve
● on winding roads
● road surface repairs
Never use the system in the following
situations:
● towing or with a bicycle carrier on
a towing device
● adverse weather conditions
● road with low grip (risk of
aquaplaning, snow, ice)
● road works and toll areas
● on racing circuits
● on a rolling road
Driver alert
The driver alert system monitors the
driving time and the vigilance of the
driver. Monitoring the vigilance of the
driver is based on the trajectory
variations of the vehicle compared to
the lane markings.
The system cannot replace the need
for vigilance on the part of the driver.
Taking a break is recommended as
soon as feeling tired or at least every
two hours. Do not drive when feeling
tired.
