3–2 Emergency Procedures 01/00
3.1 Introduction
3.1.1 General
This section provides checklists and amplified procedures for
coping with emergencies that may occur during the
operation. Emergencies caused by airplane or engine
malfunctions are extremely rare if proper preflight inspections
and regular maintenance are practiced.
However, should an emergency arise, the basic guidelines
described in this section should help with the correct
handling and a successful outcome.
3.1.2 Certain Airspeeds in case of Emergency

Flaps can be deployed when reaching of the intended
landing site is assured.

3.1.3 VP200 Emergency Functions
The Vertical Power VP200 offers several key functions for
handling emergencies. For a detailed system description
consult chapter 7.11 “Electrical System”. Further reading of
the Vertical Power VP200 Operating Manual is also
recommended.
Pressing the Emergency button provides direct access to
checklists, pre-configured load-shedding, boost pump, starter
and quick electrical system shutdown.
The four most important cases are covered:
