4. Loosen the two nuts of the steering shaft [B].
Please note!
This is a nut with a left wire
and a nut with a right wire.
5. Make sure the steering stop is in the
middle of the steering plate [C]. In case of
a dividable frame, the handlebar is
automatically fixed in this position when
the wheelchair section is disconnected.
6. Subsequently move the steering shaft to
ensure that the wheels face straight ahead
when the steering stop is in the middle of
the steering plate.
7. Tighten the nuts of the steering shaft
again.
8. Finally point the handlebar straight ahead.
Make sure the wheels also face straight
ahead at that moment.
9. Check whether the tricycle easily drives
straight ahead on the tyres, without
resistance and friction.
Replacing the front suspension
It is important that the front suspension is checked during maintenance. The
suspension absorbs the shocks of irregularities on and in the surface of the road and
maintains contact between the tyre and the road.
In case of vertical play on the spring, the spring may need replacing.
1. Loosen the bolt with several turns using a
hex key until the tension is released from
the spring.
2. Subsequently loosen the top fuse bolt with
a hex key.
The axle attachment block can now be
turned away and the spring can be
removed.
In order to put the front suspension back
together, follow these steps in reverse order.
