3.1.5. Performing a Dielectric Discharge (DD) Test
The dielectric discharge (DD) test measures the dielectric absorption of a tested material. A
typical DD test is timed for 30 minutes. Follow the steps below to perform a dielectric discharge
test:
a.
Start from the “START-UP” menu:
Press the
[1]
key (
RUN TEST
).
b.
The following screen will be displayed:
Press the

key (
DD
).
c.
The following screen will be displayed:
Press the
[1]
key (
30 Min
).
d.
The following screen will be displayed:
Press the
[1]
key to select 500V or press the
[2]
key to enter a custom test voltage
value.
