4.  INPUTS 1 - 4. Suitable for all digital sources. Routing to the internal DAC. 

INPUT 1. USB input to connect to any PC 
                The PC recognize the USB DAC as a new sound card, then select. 
INPUT 2. SPDif input RCA / cinch to connect e.g. a CD transport. 
INPUT 3. SPDif input switchable between RCA / cinch and optical. 
INPUT 4. SPDif input optical. 
It’s advisable to connect all video via the optical inputs to prevent ground loops or hum. 
 

5.  INPUTS 5 and 6. Suitable for all analog sources. with RCA / cinch connectors as well as 

having an output at line level. E.g. CD-player, SACD-player, Tuner and Cassette Deck. 
Top row = left inputs, bottom row = right inputs. 

 

6.  TAPE-OUT. To be connected to the inputs of a Cassette Deck or CD-Recorder. 

 

7.  PRE-OUT. To be connected to the inputs of a external power amplifier for bi-amping or a 

subwoofer. Top = left input, bottom = right input. 

 
8.  RIGHT. Loudspeaker terminal for the Right channel.

10.  DC and RC control.  

DC control can only be used with other Van Medevoort power amplifier(s). One can only 
switch into STANDBY or ON, via the Remote Control.  
RC control. The RC output can only be connected to the RC input of e.g. a tuner. Then the 
tuner can be operated with the Van Medevoort Remote Control. 
  

11.  IEC-USA Power Chassis Connector. To be connected with the proper wall socket, which must 

be earthed or grounded. Every Van Medevoort

 

product is optimized for your country’s 

electrical standards. e.g. 230V-50Hz or 115V-60Hz. This cannot be changed. Please check 
that your product is set to the correct voltage setting BEFORE connecting to an AC power 
outlet. Any faulty connection will invalidate the warranty. 
 

12.  RS232. The RS232 i/o is not standard but an option to control the amp with this protocol.
