6. Maintenance
In this chapter instructions on maintenance of the pump and its parts can be found.
Check before maintenance or reparations on the Enpres are performed whether the Enpres is pressure
free an that the main switch is turned off and locked.
After maintenance or reparations the guard must always be replaced and reconnected.
6.1 In general
Frequency: weakly.
turn the main switch off;
make the pump pressure free by putting the handle for pressure free start-up (16) to the vertical
position;
check the oil level with the dipstick (26) or with the oil level indicator (24);
o
the oil level must be on the marking;
o
for filling or refreshing oil; see 6.2;
check whether all connections are correctly connected;
check whether all lines are connected correctly;
check the lines for wear and tear;
o
replace if necessary;
check all electrical wires for wear and tear;
check whether the guard is correctly connected;
check whether all nuts and bolts are correctly connected;
check the filter in the suction line
o
remove foreign objects;
o
remove dirt and scale
6.2 Changing oil
Frequency: see Table 9.
By changing the oil following the schedule below, the lifetime of the pump can be considerably
prolonged.

After oil is used more than 12 months, no matter how many hours, it should be refreshed.
Because of practical reasons it is best to change the oil when the pump is still lukewarm, the oil will be
thinner and the pump (carter) will empty more easily.
put the main switch to off
make the pump pressure free by putting the handle for pressure free start-up (16) in the vertical
position;
place an oil container under the oil drain plug (28);
o
the drain plug is located directly beneath the oil level indicator;
remove the oil drain plug (28);
collect the old oil and treat it like small chemical waste;
o
when there is water with the oil; contact the manufacturer;
o
when the Enpres leaks oil; contact the manufacturer;
