Step12. Prepare a tailwheel assembly as shown.
Step13. Position the rudder wheel assembly and
rudder to the fin, and mark where the “arm” of the
tail gear wire will enter the rudder, it’s 20mm from
the bottom end.
Drill a hole at the rudder for the “arm” and cut a
groove to accommodate the tail gear wire.
Step14. Apply epoxy in the groove and the hole for
the tail gear wire, then permanently glue the
rudder into position with the CA hinges.
Insert and glue the two or three hinges into the
rudder.
Step15. Slide the rudder and fin together.
The gap between the fin and rudder should be
infinitely small. Make sure the end of the rudder is
aligned with the fin.
Apply thin CA to each hinge. Make sure the hinge is
fully saturated with CA.
Step16. Gently pull on the rudder to ensure the
hinges are secure and cannot be pulled apart.
Move the rudder right and left to break in the
hinges.
Step17. Use three M2.6x16mm self-tapping screws
to secure the bracket into the fuselage.
Step18. Insert four hinges into the elevator, and
apply thin CA to glue the hinges to the elevator.
Cut a 8x8mm triangle in the middle of the elevator
for the tail wheel landing gear wire.
