Installation

Installing the V-Module

1.  Connect the V-Module’s “Power” terminal to the 

power cable, using the included Molex connector.

2.  Plug the power cable into an available receptacle, 

or hard wire back to available power. Consult local 

electrical codes.

3.  Connect the V-Module’s “Receiver” terminal to the 

“Module” port on the Receiver.

4.  Attach Velcro and place the V-Module into the fire-

place as space allows.

5.  Connect the light cable connector to the V-Module 

(if applicable).

6.  Connect the fan cable connector to the V-Module (if 

applicable).

Replacing the Receiver

7.  Identify and disconnect leads from existing 

receiver.

8.  Remove and recycle the old receiver.
9.  Reconnect the following cables to the receiver (new 

cables not required)

• 

V-Module cable

• 

Ignition cable

• 

Interruptor cable (to yellow terminal)

• 

Interruptor cable (to red terminal)

• 

Wiring harness (receiver to valve)

• 

Wall switch cable (if applicable)

• 

Battery holder cable (if applicable)

10.  Attach Velcro and place the new receiver in place of 

the old one.

Note: 

If you are only installing the 

GV60WIFI 

kit

, proceed directly to Step 12, 

"Installing the WiFi 

Module".

 WARNING

When installing any cables or wires in 

the steps following, be sure to gather any 

extra wire with cable ties and prevent 

them touching the firebox or other hot 

metal surfaces in the fireplace!

Installing the Battery Holder

11. Install 4 AA batteries in the battery holder.
12. Connect the battery holder cable to the holder and 

to the Receiver.

13. Attach Velcro and place the battery holder into the 

fireplace as space allows.

Synching the Remote Handset

14. Insert two 1.5 V AAA 

alkaline

 batteries in the hand-

set.

15. Locate the RESET button on the front side of the 

receiver.

16. With a thin object, press and hold the receiver’s 

RESET button until you hear one short and one long 

beeps. After the second beep, release the reset but-

ton.

17. Within the subsequent 20 seconds, press and hold 

the   button on the remote handset. 

 will be 

displayed on the handset during the pairing se-

quence. You will hear two short beeps confirming 

the pairing is done. 

Installing the WiFi Module

18. Connect the WiFi module’s “Receiver” port to the 

“SI” port on the Receiver using the cable.

19. Attach Velcro and place the WiFi module into the 

fireplace as space allows.

Your upgrade installation is now complete. Supply 

power to the fireplace and proceed to

 

"Valor 10 WiFi

Note: 

Install the WiFi module with the Reset 

button facing in the direction of easiest access. If 

installing in the LX2/2200 fireplace, be sure to place 

the module under the heat shield.
