Footswitch does not activate
smoke evacuator when Footswitch
mode is selected Improperly connected footswitch Check that the footswitch is securely
connected at the front of the smoke
evacuator.
Malfunctioning footswitch Replace the footswitch.
Incorrect footswitch connected to the
smoke evacuator Connect the RapidVac Footswitch
(SEA3745) to the smoke evacuator.
Filter incorrectly installed Reinstall the filter. Ensure that the
filter is fully seated in the smoke
evacuator and the securing tab locks
into place.
Malfunction in the smoke evacuator Contact Valleylab service.
Indicator LEDs do not illuminate No electrical power Refer to electrical utility maintenance.
Fuses damaged Check the fuses to see if they have
burned through from being over
loaded or otherwise damaged.
Replace fuses if needed.
Malfunction in the smoke evacuator Contact Valleylab service.
Motor does not run, but Power On
LED illuminates Filter incorrectly installed Reinstall the filter. Ensure the filter is
fully seated in the smoke evacuator
and the securing tab locks into place.
Malfunction in smoke evacuator Contact Valleylab service.
ESU remote does not activate
when RapidVac mode is selected Generator interlink cable incorrectly
installed Ensure the generator interlink is
properly connected to the rear panel
of the smoke evacuator and the
Valleylab generator.
Remote Switch Activator incorrectly
installed Ensure the Remote Switch Activator
is connected to the rear of the smoke
evacuator.

Check the ESU pencil lead installation
on the electrosurgery sensor bobbin.
ULPA filter incorrectly installed Reinstall the filter. Ensure the filter is
fully seated in the smoke evacuator
and the securing tab locks into place.
