STARTING, STOPPING AND REGULATING
SPEED
IMPORTANT! Before starting the power tool
it is compulsory to wear individual protection
equipment (not provided).
IMPORTANT! Before starting the tool and du-
ring operation, hold the tool firmly with both
hands, using both handgrips, without ever
letting go, so that you can stop the machine
immediately in the case of danger.
IMPORTANT! While in use, ensure nobody
approaches your work station.
Plug the angle grinder into the electricity supply
(the indicator in pos.11 will inform you if there
is electrical power). Operate in accordance with
the type of switch installed.
STARTING AND STOPPING (FIG.A)
- To start, press the “ON-I” switch (pos.4).
Warning! The ‘ON-1’ position provides for
continuous operation of the device.
- To stop, unlock the switch by pressing on
the lower position and bring it to the ‘OFF-0’
position.
SPEED REGULATION
To regulate speed, use the regulator (pos.12, if
present) according to the scale:
towards ‘+’ = high speed
towards ‘-’ = low speed
We recommend repeating these operations
several times before starting work, in order to
familiarise yourself with the controls as far as
possible.
If you notice any working defects, switch off the
power tool and consult the chapter “Problems,
causes and solutions”.
When not using the tool, turn it off and discon-
nect the plug from the socket.
USER INSTRUCTIONS
After reading the previous chapters carefully,
apply these tips meticulously to obtain
maximum performance. Proceed calmly so as
to become familiar with all the controls; after
having gained sufficient experience, you will be
able to make full use of its capacities.
REGULATING SPEED ROTATION
You need to assess the type of work, type,
diameter and material of the part; perform tests
at several speeds on a scrap part before per-
forming on real parts. As a rule, set the speed
according to the type of work and part being
used. Also observe any information provided
with the parts; never exceed the maximum
rotation speed indicated.
USE
The proper use of the wall sander is the sanding
of dry and stuccoed prefabricated walls, ceilings
and walls indoors and the removal of residues
of wallpaper, paint, coatings, glue residues and
plaster. In addition, the sander can also be used
to smooth the floor.
WARNING! During use, always connect the
suction hose to an aspirator to limit the emis-
sion of dust.
WARNING! Using the wall sander with just one
hand is prohibited. Use the sander exclusively
to smooth joints and roughness on drywall and
walls. Any other use is prohibited.
Wear the personal protective equipment listed
in the chapter Warnings.
Hold the tool with both hands. The power cord
must be kept away from rotating parts and from
your body.
Place the sanding pad with the entire surface.
Switch the appliance on and apply moderate
pressure to the work surface. Perform rotary
movements or in a transverse and longitudinal
direction. For a rough sanding we recommend
a coarse grain, for a fine sending instead a finer
grain. Run tests to see which is the best grain.
Adjust the inclination of the head according to
the application (eg wall or ceiling).
Handle the appliance with caution, as a ca-
relessness could cause serious injury. Keep
strangers, children and animals away from the
work area.
In contact with the wall the sander will tend to
move sideways with a force proportional to the
pressure that you will practice on the surface in
work; counter this action to keep the sander in
place. In addition, a sudden kickback is always
possible, see chapter “Warnings” to prevent and
counteract it.
Depending on the type of work done on the wall
carefully and proceed gradually without forcing
too much. Excessive pressure on the wall could
cause the accessory to break with a sudden
