f) Keep the cable away from sources of heat, oil, and sharp edges.

g) Do not try to recharge single-use batteries.

h) The battery charger cable cannot be replaced. Stop using it if it is damaged.

i) Do not expose to water or rain and do not use in damp environments.

l) Do not open the battery charger.

m) For indoor use.

n) Store the charging station away from rain and damp. Any possible water infiltration

into a charging station increases the risk of electric shock.

o) Always keep the charging station clean. Dirt sediment causes a risk of electric shock.

p) Before each use check the charging station, the cable and the plug. Do not use the

charging station in case of damage. Never open the charging station yourself and

only have it repaired by qualified personnel and with original spare parts. In case of

damage to the battery chargers, cables and plugs, the risk of electric shock increases.

Do not use the charging station on highly flammable surfaces (e.g. paper, fabric,

etc) or in flammable environments.

COMMISSIONINg AND ADjUSTMENT

The machine may be supplied with some loose components. For their assembly,

observe the following instructions.

wARNINg: Before assembly, remove the battery unit (if applicable) from the

machine body; serious injury may occur if the body comes into contact with the

chain in motion.

wARNINg: The chain teeth are sharp; put on protection gloves before operation.

wARNINg: Do not turn on the start-up switch during the assembly

operations.

ASSEMBlINg ThE BAR AND ThE ChAIN

1  Place the chain saw on a flat surface and remove the fixing nut (Fig. A no. 6) and

the carter (Fig. A no. 7)

2  Using the key provided (Fig. A no.23) located near the battery unit, turn the chain

adjustment screw anti-clockwise (Fig. A no.5) until the end of the thread.

3  Mount the chain onto the bar taking care to respect the correct rotation direction of

the chain (Fig. E).

4  Insert the chain on the sprocket (Fig. E no. 8), paying attention to centre the lower

hole of the bar on the tensioning pin (Fig. E no. 9).

5  Mount the carter aligning the reference pins with the casing slots (Fig. E no. 11).

6  Fix the carter with the screw (Fig. A no. 6).

7  Now proceed to tension the chain correctly following the instructions below.

IMPORTANT! Do not operate the machine before adjusting the chain tensioning.

ChAIN TENSIONINg

WARNING: The chain teeth are sharp, wear protection gloves before operation.

1  Loosen the carter fixing screw by half a turn (Fig. A no. 6) using the key provided

(Fig. A no. 23).

2  Turn the chain adjustment screw clockwise (Fig. A no. 5) and tension the chain

until it can be detached – if you lift it with your fingers, you can take it off the bar

by about 3-4 mm (Fig. F)

3  When the chain has been adjusted, fix the screw securely (Fig. A no. 6).

N.B.: If the chain is too tight, loosen the screw of the carter and tensioning disk (Fig.

A no. 5), then push the bar inwards and repeat the adjustment. Check for the correct

tension again (Fig. F).

IMPORTANT! Do not tighten the chain too much as the motor strain will be excessive

and the battery protection device may interrupt the machine operation.

IMPORTANT! During the first cuts, when the machine is still new, the chain will loosen

quite frequently, but this is normal during the breaking-in period of a new tool.

IMPORTANT! Never leave the chain loose as it may come off the bar

while cutting and increase the risk of kickback.

IMPORTANT! If the chain is loose it causes rapid wear of components.

IMPORTANT! The chain tensioning must be controlled each time

you start working, after the first cuts and regularly every 10 minutes.

Do not tighten the chain too much because the lubrication system may not function

correctly.

ASSEMBlINg ThE TElESCOPIC ElECTRIC ChAIN SAw (fig. g)

WARNING: The chain teeth are sharp, wear protection gloves before operation.

1  Ensure the battery unit has been removed from the machine.

2  In order to connect the machine unit (Fig. A no. 14) to the handgrip unit (Fig. A no.

15), it is necessary to insert the male connector (Fig. G no. 18) into the female

connector (Fig. G no. 19) aligning the printed arrows as indicated in fig. G no.

31.

3  Fix the pipes securely completely tightening the nut (Fig. G no. 17).

N.B.: The machine has been designed to operate with or without the extension cable

(Fig. A no.  16) provided.

4  Fix the shoulder strap to the machine (Fig. A no. 28) through the coupling device

(Fig. A no. 29).

INSERTINg AND REMOvINg ThE BATTERY (fIg. D)

- Insert the battery through the guides on the rear part of the handle until it locks with

an audible “click”.

To remove the battery, press the unlocking key (no. 1 fig. D) and remove it.
