3.1 Chain tensioning without chain tensioners
1.
Push the chain up and down and check the deflection
according to the illustration.
2.
Loosen both wheel nuts with a few revolutions.
Tip: The axle should clamp slightly!

Loosen the retaining bolt and reaction arm.
4.
If the chain tension is too low, pull the wheel back and tighten the wheel nut on the
sprocket side.
5.
If the chain tension I too high, push the wheel forward and tighten the wheel nut on
the sprocket side.
6.
Center the wheel between the forks.
7.
Tighten the wheel nuts (If you also have a transport rack, tighten the hooks as well).
8.
Push the chain up and down and check the outcome according to the
according to the illustration.
9.
Mount the cover or tension the lacquer cloth.
10.
Tighten the reaction arm mounting bolt.
11.
Check and adjust the hub gear system, if any.
Annex IV: Mounting transport rack
This appendix explains how to properly mount a transport rack on the steering head. Did
you buy a front rack that hangs from the handlebars? Then in step 6, place the hooks on
the handlebars and screw them to the rack at the desired height with the screws provided.

• The horizontal rack;
• The vertical rack;
• Two uprights;
• The set of bolts and nuts;
• Wrench 8, 10 and 15;
• Two mounting brackets (not for steering head mounting).
• Possibly a Phillips screwdriver for mounting the headlight.
