Do not use sharp objects to remove frost from the freezer.
Wait until the interior is thoroughly dry before plugging

warm water. Rinse and dry thoroughly after cleaning.
CAUTION!
The appliance must not be switched on again until the seals
are completely dry.

Problem
Possible causes and solution
The appliance does
not work properly
Check that the power cord is correctly plugged into the mains.
Check if the "Power" function is activated by pressing the "POWER" button for 1 second.
Check the fuse or circuit of your power module, and replace them if necessary.
The ambient temperature is too low. Try setting the room temperature to a lower value to fix this problem.
In order to protect the compressor, it is normal that the freezer does not work during the automatic defrost
cycle or that it does not switch on immediately after turning on the appliance.
Bad odours in the
compartments
The interior may need to be cleaned.
Certain food, containers or packaging may be giving off bad odours.
Noises made by
the appliance
The sounds below are absolutely normal:
• Compressor noise
• Noise of the small fan motor in the freezer compartment or other compartments.
• Gurgling sound similar to the sound of boiling water.
• Crackling sound during automatic defrosting.
• Clicks before the compressor switches on.
Other unusual noises are caused for the reasons below and may require action to be taken:
• The cabinet is not level.
• The rear of the appliance is touching the wall.
• Bottles or containers have fallen over or are rolling.
The motor
is running
continuously
It is normal to hear the noise of the motor on a frequent basis; it will have to work at a higher rate in the
following circumstances:
• The temperature is set to a lower value than necessary
• A large quantity of food, that is still hot, has recently been placed in the appliance.
• The temperature outside the appliance is too high.
• The doors have been left open too often or for too long.
• Immediately after the appliance is installed or if it has been turned off for a long time.
A layer of frost
builds up in the
compartment
Check that the air outlets of the appliance are not blocked by food and make sure that the food inside the
appliance is arranged so as to allow sufficient ventilation. Check that the door is properly closed. To remove
the frost, refer to the chapter on Cleaning and Maintenance.
The interior
temperature is
too high
It may be that the doors have been opened for too long or too frequently; an obstacle may be preventing the
doors from closing; or there is not enough of a gap at the sides, back and top of the appliance.
