Storage device requirements

Unit can recognize up to 4 Primary Partitions accessible as a separate Discs.

Storage must be formatted as FAT16 or FAT32.
?
You must maintain “Free Space” on HDD necessary for unit operation (approximately 1% of partition capacity).

VML player doesn't support full path names of more than 255 characters.

FOR M3U FILES ONLY: You must use UTF-8 encoding. Line length for M3U file CAN NOT exceed 255 UTF-8
symbols.
Recommendations and explanations

Playlist name, album name, artist name, song title and all other text information is limited by vehicle Radio to display
26 characters only. Some vehicles are limited to 16 characters. We recommend creating unique playlist name, album
name, artist name, song title, and etc. for easier navigation through VML player.

FOR MP3 FILES ONLY: VML player takes song title, album name, artist name, and etc. from ID3 tag data container.

If song title ID3 Tag does not exist or is empty, VML player will generate song title from the MP3 file name. Please
make sure your file name is unique within 26 character limitation described above.

FOR WAV FILES ONLY: Song title is generated from WAV file name. Please make sure your file name is unique within
26 character limitation described above.

We strongly recommend using ASCII symbols from table, Tab 1. If you use any other symbol not in Tab1, VML player
will automatically change it to ‘*’.
