Procedure
Remarks
Tools required
1
Ensure boiler and system are full of
water
2
Check whether syphon is full
If necessary fill via flue gas analysis point
3
Check the entire gas route for leaks
Gas sensing instrument is recommended (espe-
cially for checking the burner gaskets for leaks),
leak seeking spray may be used for pipes (If nec-
essary tighten the burner gasket to 12 Nm)
U Gauge - or digital manome-
ter,
gas sensing equipment,
leak detection fluid
4
Check flue system is complete and se-
cure
As detailed in section 5.6
5
Check electrical connection rail
Mains connection: L,N, PE terminals controller
terminals: Bus"
/7-8-9 or 3-4 "
6
Switch unit on, display active
Otherwise check fuses
7
Ensure air is removed from boiler pri-
mary circuit
Operate test program PO, see section 9.4
8
Use the test programme P1 to run ap-
pliance at full gas rate.
Press and Hold + and power up, h button
until PO appears,
r then use it to advance to P1, press the
"I" button to run at full load, see section 9.4
9
Check the gas connection pressure
Minimum inlet working pressure is not less than
17 mbar, see table 6.4
U-tube or digital manometer
10
Check gas rate input to boiler
Record and compare inputs to those shown in
table 6.5
Stop watch
11
CO
2
measurement
Target value: at nominal heat loading: 9.3 %Vol
(
0.2 %Vol),
at minimum load: 9.0 %Vol
(
0.2 %Vol)
Flue gas analyser with current
calibration certification
12
If CO
2
not within tolerance:
Ensure CO / CO
2
ratio less than 0.004
13
After setting gas ratio, activate P1
function, then perform repeat CO
2
measurement
The maximum draught must not exceed 20 mbar,
if the draught is too great the flue draught must
be reduced by suitable measures
CO

-measuring instrument
14
CO measurement (target< 80 ppm)
CO-measuring instrument
15
CO / CO

ratio
Visual check or additional check of each seal po-
sition
with CO-measuring instruments
Flue gas analyser with current
calibration certification
16
Measuring the flue draught
The maximum draught must not exceed 20 mbar.
If the draught is too great the flue draught must
be reduced by suitable measures.
Measuring unit for flue
draught
17
Check condensate trough, syphon and
condensate drain for leaks
Visual check or additional check of each seal posi-
tion with CO-measuring instruments
18
Turn boiler thermostats down and wait
for a short time, switch off the boiler
and switch on again
Safe exit from the test mode and reset
19
Programme heating controller with
cus-tomer and check hot water/heat-
ing function
Hand the operating instructions for the system
and controlls to the customer
20
Affix sticker 835593 read operating In-
structions in user's language to the
front of the unit
