11 Inspection and maintenance
11.1
Observing the work plan and intervals

work that is mentioned.
11.2
Procuring spare parts
The original components of the unit were also certified as
part of the CE declaration of conformity. Information about
available Vaillant genuine spare parts is available by con-
tacting the contact address provided on the reverse of this
document.

If you require spare parts for maintenance or repair work,
use only Vaillant genuine spare parts.
11.3
Preparing for inspection and maintenance
Observe the basic safety rules before carrying out inspection
and maintenance work or installing spare parts.

Switch off all of the isolators (circuit breakers) to which
the product is connected in the building.
▶
Disconnect the product from the power supply.
▶
When working on the product, protect all electric com-
ponents from spraying water.
11.4
Guaranteeing occupational safety
Applicability:
Flat roof
The flat roof is a safety-critical working area. When working
on the product, you must comply with these safety regula-
tions:
▶
Ensure that the flat roof can be safely accessed.
▶
Check whether a safety area of 2 m to the fall edge is
available, plus the clearance that is required for working
on the product. The safety area must not be entered.
▶
If this is not the case, check whether technical fall protec-
tion (e.g. reliable railings) or technical safety catch equip-
ment (e.g. scaffolding or a safety net) is installed at the
fall edge.
▶
If a roof escape hatch or flat-roof window is close by, use
suitable protective equipment (e.g. barriers) to prevent
you from stepping on or falling through these.
11.5
Cleaning the product
▶
Only clean the product when all of the casing sections
and covers have been installed.
Warning.
Risk of damage from spraying water.
The product contains electrical components
that can be damaged by spraying water.
▶
Do not clean the product with a high-pres-
sure cleaner or a direct jet of water.
▶
Clean the product using a sponge and hot water with
cleaning agent.
