User diagnostics
The SMGM system, with the exception of the DCS systems (BCC/SMGM), is a pure OSI-Layer 2 component.
The diagnostics of the Ethernet and PROFINET communication can be performed with standard diagnostics
tools (e.g. Wireshark).
The Ethernet telegrams will be transmitted directly through the rail.
The user diagnostics can also be performed using the SMGM status LED on the components. This indicates
the following errors:
