Setting instructions
Winding, time setting and correction:
The winding, time-setting and correction crown (I) can be placed in
any of three positions: A, B and C.
A: Pushed down against the case, winding position.
This is the normal position when the watch is being worn; it
guarantees optimum water-resistance.
If the watch has not been worn for some time, wind it by rotating
the winding, time-setting and correction crown (I) a few times in the
clockwise direction.
A watch need not be fully wound if it is going to be worn.
At the end of the winding operation the winding, time-setting
and correction crown (I) will not be blocked and the mechanism
therefore cannot be damaged.
B: Date setting position.
When the winding, time-setting and correction crown (I) is pulled
out to this position, rotation in the clockwise direction enables the
date to be adjusted (3). Then push the winding, time-setting and
correction crown (I) back down to position A to restart the watch.
NOTE: The calendar does not allow for the number of days in a
month: it will have to be adjusted manually for months with less
than 31 days.
C: Time setting position.
When pulled out to this position, the winding, time-setting and
correction crown (I) stops the watch completely. Turn the crown (I)
to set the hour and minute hands (1 and 2) to the desired time. Push
the winding, time-setting and correction crown (I) back down to
position A to restart the watch.
NOTE: If the time is set in the afternoon, the hour hand (1) must have
completed more than one full rotation since the last date change (3)
to make sure that the date changes at midnight.
IMPORTANT: Do not pass the time at which the date changes by
turning the hands in the anticlockwise direction.
Water-resistance
The water-resistance of the watch has been tested at a pressure
of 5 bar.
