Procedure to Purge Water System
Units Not Equipped With Air Purge
1. Drain all water from water tanks.
2. Remove nozzle from sewer hose.
3. Connect the end of rodder hose to the fitting provided on the hose guide.
4. Start auxiliary engine.
5. Start truck engine.
6. Turn the top rodder hose control valve and the bottom pump control valve on the front of the hose reel to
the
ON
position.
7. Let run until all water is pumped from the hose.
8. Turn the bottom pump control valve and the top sewer hose control valve to the
OFF
position.
9. Disconnect the rodder hose from the fitting on the hose guide and attach the hose end to the hose on the
hose reel by means of a rope or tie strap.
10. Turn the top sewer hose control valve and the bottom pump control valve to the
ON
position.
11. Rotate the hose reel clockwise until no more water comes out of the hose.
12. Turn the bottom pump control valve, and the top sewer hose control valve to the
OFF
position.
13. Open all the handgun connections.
14. Turn the handgun ball valve and the bottom pump control valve to the
ON
position until all the water has
been discharged.
15. Turn the bottom pump control valve and the handgun valve to the
OFF
position.
16. Leave the handgun connection plugs out.
17. Turn the body flushout valve and the bottom pump control valve to the
ON
position until all of the water is
out of the body flushout system.
