Cleaning the accessories
Incorrect handling can cause damage!
Do not clean the food probe in the dishwasher.
▸ Clean the food probe with a soft cloth dampened with water and a little washing-up li-
quid.
▪
The stainless steel tray, perforated cooking tray, wire shelf and water tank can be
cleaned in the dishwasher.
▪
The baking tray can be cleaned in the dishwasher; however, this will affect its non-
stick properties.
▪
Limescale deposits in the water tank can be removed using a standard descaler (do
not use washing-up liquid or any abrasive agents).
▸ If the water tank valve drips, descale it.

Cleaning the fully extending runners
Incorrect handling can cause damage!
▸ Do not clean the runners in the dishwasher!
▸ Do not wipe any lubricant off the ball-bearing or its tracks!
▸ Do not use abrasive cleaning agents!
▸ Do not grease the runners!
▸ Clear the exterior surface of the runners with a soft, damp cloth. Ensure that no
liposoluble cleaning agent enters the roller bearings,
–
as this would affect their rolling properties.
Removing the fully extending runners
▸ Unscrew the knurled nut
1
at the front
of the fully extending runners in an
anti-clockwise direction.
▸ Pull the fully extending runners
2
to
the side of the screw and remove

Reassembling the fully extending runners
▸ Insert the fully extending runners into the openings in the back wall of the cooking
space and position on the screws.
▸ Place the knurled nuts on the screws and tighten securely in a clockwise direction.
8.11
Descaling
How it functions
Whenever steam is produced, depending on the hardness of the local water supply (i.e.
the limescale content of the water), limescale is deposited in the boiler.
The appliance automatically detects and indicates when descaling is necessary.
The cleaning programme guides you step-by-step through the descaling process.
We recommend descaling the appliance whenever the message appears. Contin-
ued failure to descale the appliance will likely impair its functions or cause damage
to the appliance. Descaling takes about 45 minutes.
