Preparations for soft roasting seared meat
A
Heat some fat in a pan.
A
Sear the meat on all sides (for no more than 5 minutes).

Then place the meat in a glass or porcelain dish.
A
Insert the food probe into the thickest part of the meat and ensure that the tip of the
food probe is in the middle of the thickest part of the piece of meat.

Put the wire shelf in the cooking space at level
1
and place the dish with the seared
meat on it.

Plug the food probe into the food probe socket.
Preparations for Soft roasting with grill
A
Marinate or season the meat. Tie unwieldy cuts of meat, such as a boned leg of
lamb, into a compact parcel so that they brown evenly under the grill.

Either thread the meat onto the rotisserie spit or place it in the roasting basket – see
the 'Rotisserie spit and roasting basket' section – and then put in the cooking space.
A
Following the instructions given in the 'Rotisserie spit and roasting basket' section,
secure the food probe onto the frame and insert the plug into the food probe
socket.
