Switching on and using the ice and water dispenser
23
To prevent odours:
▪
Every so often, clean the ice bucket using warm water or a mild alkaline solution and
then dry it. Make sure the function is switched off before cleaning.
▪
Check the freezer compartment for spoiled food. Make sure that products are
packaged well enough that they are airtight and do not emit odours.
▪
Check the water filter and replace it regularly as required.
▪
Check the quality of the domestic water connection.
If you are not going to be using the ice and water dispenser for an extended period, close
the water valve to prevent leaks. Empty the ice bucket before switching off the appliance
to prevent melted ice from spilling onto the floor.
Using the ice and water dispenser
Pressing the “cubed” button produces ice cubes.
Pressing the “crushed” button produces crushed ice.
Pressing “water” dispenses chilled water.
The ice or water you have selected will be dispensed
as soon as you push a glass or other suitable
container against the dispenser. Make sure the glass
or other container is underneath the dispenser and
that the ice or water goes straight into it.
Do not remove the glass or other suitable container too soon after dispensing.
Wait 2 to 3 seconds in case any residual ice or water is dispensed.
The ice and water dispenser will not work if the child lock function is activated or the
appliance door is open. If you select “cubed” ice after using the “crushed” ice
feature, a small amount of residual crushed ice might be dispensed. The dispensed
water is chilled, not icy cold. If you want colder water, dispense ice into your glass
first, then fill it with water from the dispenser. Any sounds you hear while the ice is
being dispensed are part of normal operation.
Do not pull the lever out as this could
damage or break the lever’s spring.
Do not dispense ice continually for more
than 1 minute during normal use to
prevent the motor from overheating.
