There is no flat valve in the mouthpiece. Thus, water can seep into the jacket while the
air is being removed.

EMPTYING THE JACKET BY MEANS OF THE QUICK STOP
In order for the air to be able to escape by means of the quick stop, your position in the
water must be upright or at least horizontal so that the air is in the top of the jacket (in
the area of the quick stop valve).
If the air in the jacket is above the quick stop valve, e.g. in a headlong position, the air
can’t escape. If you are in the correct position, pull the inflator unit until the proper
amount of air has escaped from the quick stop valve (Fig. 4). Advantage: The quick
stop has a flat valve which allows the air to escape without allowing water to seep in at
the same time.
CAUTION! Only pull at short intervals, so that the escaping air can be controlled. The
valve will close by releasing.
