3. Scanning FM/AM broadcast
frequencies
Radio broadcasts can be scanned to conve-
niently find radio broadcasts with high quality
reception. Each radio broadcast will be played
for 5 seconds. This feature is particularly use-
ful when traveling in new areas.
1. Press the
Scan
button.
Note
●
When scanning has completed an entire
revolution, the scan function will terminate
automatically and the previously played fre-
quency will be restored.
4. Preset Scan
Preset scan will scan presets in the current
band (FM-12 presets, AM-6 presets)in
sequential order. Each preset will be played for
5 seconds.
5. Listening to HD Radio

(Optional)
HD Radio Technology is a digital radio tech-
nology used by AM and FM radio stations to
transmit audio and data via a digital signal in
conjunction with their analog signals.
1. While listening to the radio, the HD Radio
icon will become displayed if receiving an
HD Radio broadcast.
2. Press the
HD
▶
button to change to a dif-
ferent HD Radio station.
6. Viewing FM/AM Station information
When listening to an HD Radio station or RDS
radio station, you will be able to view station
information.
1. Press the Radio icon.
2. Information about the current station (fre-
quency, station, artist, title) will be
displayed.
