8. In each text box, enter the size of each disk that you plan to back up (specify the size in gigabytes).
To determine the size of a computer’s disk, open My Computer or Windows Explorer on that compu-
ter, right-click the disk, and then click
Properties
. Be sure to enter the entire capacity of each disk, not
just the amount of used disk space.
If a disk is smaller than 1 GB, divide the number of megabytes by 1024. For example, a 512-MB disk
would be .5 GB (512 divided by 1024 is .5).
When you click
Next
, the Disk Space Distribution page appears:
Note: Only 99% of the available storage space can be allocated for backups. If the amount of disk
space you need exceeds that limit, you will not be able to back up all the disks.
