ragged or splintered edges on the backside of
the hole.

DRILLING METALS

 ATTENTION: For maximum performance,

use HSS drill bits for metal drilling.
• Set the tool to the drill mode and push the
dual range gear selector to the position ”Hi”
to choose high speed.
• Mark off the center of the hole using a center
punch.
• Use a suitable lubricant for the material you
are working on.
• Begin drilling at a very low speed to prevent
the bit from slipping off the starting point.
• Always clamp sheet metal. Support thin met-
al with a block of wood to avoid distorting it.

DRILLING MASONRY

 ATTENTION: For maximum performance, use

high quality carbide-tipped masonry drill bits
when drilling holes in brick, tile, concrete etc.
• Use the drilling setting initially then revert
to the hammer action once the holes are es-
tablished.
• Apply light pressure and medium speed for
best results in brick.
• Apply additional pressure and high speed for
hard materials such as concrete.
NOTE: When drilling holes in tile, practice on
a scrap piece to determine the best speed and
pressure.
NOTE: reverse rotation during impact drilling
may damage the drill and drill bit.

MAINTENANCE

WARNING: Always ensure that the plug is

disconnected from power source, the tool is
switched off and the battery pack is removed
before making any adjustments or mainte-
nance procedures the cordless drill and char-
ger. Regularly check that all the fixing screws
are tight. They may vibrate loose over time.
Keep the tool’s air vents unclogged and clean
at all times.

Regularly check to see if any dust or foreign
matter has entered the vents near the motor
and around the switches.
Use a soft brush to remove any accumulated
dust. Wear safety glasses to protect your eyes
whilst cleaning.

If the body of the tool needs cleaning, wipe
it with a soft damp cloth. A mild detergent
can be used but nothing like alcohol, petrol or
other cleaning agent.

CAUTION: Water must never come into

contact with the tool.

DISPOSAL OF AN EXHAUSTED BATTERY PACK

To preserve natural resources, please recycle or
dispose of the battery pack properly.
This battery pack contains Li-ion batteries.
Consult your local waste authority for infor-
mation regarding available recycling and/or
disposal options. Discharge your battery pack
by operating your tool, then remove the bat-
tery pack from the tool and cover the battery
pack terminals with heavy duty adhesive tape
to prevent short circuit.

IMPORTANT: Do not attempt to open or re-

move any of the components.
